Temperatures to drop to -20°C
The weather grows colder. Nighttime temperatures in northern Moldova are forecast to fall to -20°C on the night of January 11. There will be snow on January 11 and 12.
Tatiana Strugac, head of the National Weather Forecasts Center, has told Info-Prim Neo that there will be -18°C in the northern districts on the night of January 10. Daytime temperatures on January 10 will vary between -9 and -4°C.
But the cold weather will not persist. A warm mass will approach Moldova on January 13 and the temperatures will rise to 0°C. There will be fog the coming days.
The yellow code advisory for ice hasn’t been annulled yet. Walking on ice is still dangerous as the layer of ice is thin.
