The temperatures will continue to decline during the next few days, down to -2°C during the day. Nighttime temperatures will fall to -8°C, IPN reports, quoting the State Hydrometeorological Service.

On January 9, daytime temperatures will vary between +3°C and +5°C. A light snowfall is expected in northern Moldova.

As from January 10, nighttime temperatures will decrease significantly, to -5...-7°C. The negative temperatures will persist at least until the start of next week.

No snowfalls are forecast.
