Weather forecasters reported a new temperature high for January. On January 18, the highest daytime temperature in Moldova was + 18.1°C, IPN reports.

The State Weather Service said the given temperature was recorded at the Ceadâr-Lung weather station. Such a high temperature is registered in January for the first time since records began.

The previous record set on January 5, 2022 was +17.4 °C (Tiraspol weather station).

Furthermore, the average air temperature in Moldova on January 18 exceeded the norm of -2..-4°C by 12-14°C.
