The national public broadcaster Teleradio-Moldova marked the International Children’s Day on June 1 with the tele-radiomarathon “A strong family for every child”. Contacted by IPN, Radio Moldova director Alexandru Dorogan said the project aims to sensitize, educate, train and show what should be done for every child to have a strong family.
“We offered a general picture of the country. There are districts where projects to deinstitutionalize children are being implemented. It is important to point to the existing problems and to show what can be done when all those involved carry out the major mission of creating conditions for every child,” said the director.
Alexandru Dorogan underlined it is sad when a child does not have a family and many countries face this problem. One of the invitees to the studio, who is from the United States, said that they also have many children without a family and this state of affairs should be changed.
In the morning, the radio listeners could hear writer Spiridon Vangheli speaking about childhood. There was broadcast in interview with priest Pavel Borshevski, about the role and place of religion in the education process. The mother of six Liliana Suvari spoke about the necessity of every child to be brought up in a healthy family.
