Teleradio caretakers present 'irrelevant financial report'
The Supervisory Board of the national broadcasting company Teleradio-Moldova on Wednesday rejected the financial report submitted by the caretaker administration of the company as inconsistent and irrelevant, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Board member Viorica Mesina said the presented materials contained irrelevant accounting information and failed to break down spending by categories, which, according to Mesina, should be the key element of any financial report.
Igor Munteanu, another Board member, suggested the financial state of the company should be assessed after the Court of Accounts completes its audit.
Valentin Todercan, the caretaker president of the company, replied he had warned the Board that the two-week deadline allowed for the submission of the financial report was too tight and that it was an “impossible mission” to fulfill.
The Board members highlighted the poor management of the company, bringing the example of how 1.4 million euros were spent on equipment in just one day. The financial situation at Teleradio will return to the Board's agenda after the completion of the audit by the Court of Accounts.
