The Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection calls on those who witnessed violations of the deontological norms when prescribing medicines to report these cases on 022-72-10-10, IPN reports, with reference to a press release of the Ministry.

The move was made after 20 persons were arrested on suspicion that they applied corruptible schemes by which sales agents of pharmaceutical companies agreed with doctors of health facilities to promote their products.

The Ministry condemns the illegal activities among health professionals of the national healthcare system and reiterates the importance of observing the legislation when prescribing drugs.

Those arrested by anticorruption officers include 12 employees of medical institutions based in Chisinau, Cahul and Edinet and eight representatives of pharmaceutical companies operating in Chisinau.
