The Center for Continuous Electoral Training and the Central Election Commission launched a telephone line that the people can use to obtain information about the November 19 local referendum to dismiss the mayor of Chisinau. By calling (022) 88 01 01, the voters can inquire at what polling place they can vote and how they can file challenges and check if they are present on the electoral registers, IPN reports.
The information telephone line works during November 7-22, from Monday through Friday, between 8am and 5pm. On November 18, it will work from 8am until 6pm, while on November 19 from 5am until midnight.
A similar service was provided in the last three national elections. The initiators say the number of those who use the information telephone line is on the rise.
