The bodies of two boys aged five and seven were found in a channel of the Ialpug River in Congaz village of ATU Gagauzia, IPN reports.

According to the General Inspectorate for Emergencies, it was preliminarily established that the boys played near the channel after they left home without informing the grownups .

Police officers and rescuers carried out searches and found the bodies in the channel of the Ialpug River after hours.

The local press reported that the two were brothers and were on a visit to their grandparents. The channel was located about 1 km from the grandparents’ home.
