A girl and a boy aged 16 and 18 were discovered dead in a car parked on the territory of a commercial garage cooperative in Balti town in the evening of December 30. According to preliminary investigations, the teens poisoned themselves with carbon dioxide, IPN reports.

Also yesterday, two men aged 49 and 57 from Cuconestii Noi village of Edinet district were found dead in the house. It is presumed that they died from carbon monoxide poisoning after incorrectly using the stove.

The Civil Protection and Emergency Service urges caution when using stoves and electrical heating devices. It is recommended avoiding overheating the stoves. The defective or improvised devices should not be used. It is dangerous to leave the engine working when the car is not moving.
