Teenage girl hospitalised with stab wound to heart
A 17-year-old Chisinau girl was delivered on Friday morning, 25 January, to the intensive care section of Valentin Ignatenco Hospital with a stab wound to the heart.
Doctor-coordinator of the Emergency Service, Eufalia Negreata, told Info-Prim Neo, that the girl was stabbed at about 2 AM by unknown persons in Puhoi village, Anenii-Noi district. Emergency Service doctors, called at about 7 AM, concluded that the girl was in a state of advanced drunkenness. She had a stab wound in the left part of the heart, venous haemorrhage and a hypovolaemic shock.
Thursday, 24 January, was a difficult day for persons suffering from cardiovascular diseases. The Emergency Service recorded that day 12 brain strokes, 2 heart attacks. Three persons died - 2 women, of 50 and 68 years, and a homeless man, 50 years old.
On Thursday and on Friday night, 25 January, Emergency Service doctors registered 809 calls, including 101 cases of acute respiratory diseases and 36 cases of mumps. The ambulance doctors anticipate a flu outbreak, expecting a sudden increase in the number of reports.
