A tragic case happened in Stolniceni village of Edinet district. A teen died, while another one was seriously injured when a concrete block fell over them. The two boys, both aged 16, were on the territory of a former brick factory, IPN reports.

The Civil Protection and Emergencies Service said two teams of rescuers travelled to the scene and took the boys out from under the bloc. One of them sustained traumas and fractures, while the second was taken out dead. An ambulance rushed the injured boy to the Balti Hospital in a serious state.

From Balti, the teen was taken to the Chisinau Children’s Hospital “Valentin Ignatenco” by a SMURD team. He suffered an open fracture of the foot of the right leg, subtotal amputation and hemorrhagic shock.
