A 19-year-old man died instantly after the car in which he was traveling as a front-seat passenger crashed into a ditch this morning on R-20, connecting Orhei to Călărași.
According to preliminary police findings, the driver, also a 19-year-old man, lost control of the vehicle in a turn in wet road conditions. He only suffered minor injuries.
Tests showed the driver had not been drinking. A criminal investigation was started to establish all the circumstances.
