TEDxChisinauChange and StarNet are inviting those interested in TED events to an inspiring and motivating event themed “Take Challenge, Be the Change” that will take place on April 5 at 5:30 in Chisinau, Info-Prim Neo reports. Irina Ghelbur, PR officer at StarNet, said that the event's speakers, who include Viorel Mardare, Sergiu Linga, Tudor Darie, Natan Garstea and Lucia Aprodu among others, will shape a “Big Picture of Moldova” and will present their views on how global problems can be solved by employing local solutions. “They will show you how you can effect change by adopting a progressive way of thinking and will inspire new ideas and out-of-the-box solutions to improve the situation in Moldova”. The topics discussed by the speakers include: “Negotiate, Bribe, Lie” (Lucia Aprodu), “Help your country, sue it!” (Natan Garstea), “A Country Upside Down” (Tudor Darie), “From whom we can learn what change is” (Sergiu Linga), the “Republic of Moldova” (Viorel Mardare). The event will also feature foreign speakers, including Melinda Gates, Baaba Maal, Sven Giegold, Jeff Chapin and Theo Sowa, whose inspiring speeches will be broadcast live from Berlin. The TED event on Thursday is one of the multiple independent TED events taking place around the world on April 5 in the spirit of TED's mission – “ideas worth spreading”.
