The minibuses in Chisinau will be subject to technical inspection between April 1 and April 12. The units of transport that will not meet the technical norms will be taken out of routes, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué from the Chisinau City Hall, specialists of the testing stations authorized by the Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure will check the technical state of the units of transport, their internal and external aesthetic aspect and equipment under the supervision of representatives of the General Public Transport and Communications Division and the Traffic Police.

After the technical overhaul, the General Public Transport and Communications Division of the Chisinau City Hall will decide the fate of the minibuses that do not meet the technical norms. The defective minibuses will be withdrawn. The carriers that will not present the vehicles for technical examination risk remaining without the license allowing providing passenger transportation services.
