Technical overhaul of minibuses to start in several days

The minibuses running on route in Chisinau will be subject to technical examination from October 19, the head of the Public Transport and Communications Division Veaceslav Tarna said on October 11, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
Besides the technical condition, there will be also checked the esthetic aspect of the minibuses. The minibuses must have winter tires, first aid kits and fire extinguishers, Veaceslav Tarna said.
Municipal police chief Silviu Musuc said the police will penalize the drivers who will not have their minibuses examined on time. “Before the cold season, all the parameters of the units of transport must be checked. The tires, oil and filters must be replaced,” he said.
The 1,814 minibuses that run in Chisinau will be examined at nine stations.
