The minibuses and buses running on routes in Chisinau successfully passed the technical examination performed between April 11 and 20. Adrian Boldurescu, deputy head of the General Public Transport and Communications Division, said irregularities were identified at only eight minibuses. The drivers were given time by June 1 to remove them. Otherwise, the units of transport will not be allowed to work, Info-Prim Neo reports. “Minor irregularities were found at the buses of the Urban Bus Company. All the private buses running on the municipal routes passed the test successfully,” said Adrian Boldurescu. According to him, the number of units of transport that do not meet the technical conditions decreased compared with last year. The technical overhaul of the minibuses and buses is carried out two times a year, in spring and in autumn. More than 1,800 minibuses, 109 municipal buses and over 20 private buses transport passengers in Chisinau.
