Teachers and parents trained in inclusive education

Teachers and parents who bring up children with special educational needs are trained within the first module of a seminar centering on educational inclusion of children of preschool age in kindergartens, IPN reports.

According to the informative bulletin of the public association “Woman and Child – Protection and Support”, 28 teachers and experts in specialized support services as well as 16 parents are attending a training seminar consisting of two modules between April 20 and June 1. The seminar is held at Kindergarten No. 2 in Edinet and at Kindergarten No. 1 in Leova. These institutions are intended for children with special educational needs.

The attendees are trained in educational inclusion, namely the acceptance of children with special educational needs, including with disabilities, into kindergartens and the correct approach in dealing with them in the general education process.

The teachers and parents are trained within the project “Inclusive education for children of preschool age of Moldova – extension of the success model”, which is supported financially by the Czech Development Agency and is implemented by the Criuleni-based public association “Woman and Child – Protection and Support”, in partnership with the Ministry of Education and the local public authorities of Edinet and Leova districts.
