Teacher suspected of taking bribe and issuing a fake diploma
A teacher was caught red-handed, suspected of taking bribe and issuing a fake diploma for €1000, Info-Prim Neo learned from a press release of the Ministry of the Interior.
The teacher from a college in Soroca was arrested in the college while receiving the second payment of €500. According to operative date, the 53 year old issued a fake graduation diploma for someone who had never even studied at that college.
As a result of a search at the home of the suspect, a €50 bill, previously branded as ‘bribe’, was found. The other €450 of the first payment had been spent on personal needs.
The teacher is charged with passive corruption, which is punishable by a fine of up to 60,000 lei or 10 years in jail.
