Teacher from Glodeni probed for influence peddling

A teacher from a vocational school from Glodeni town is probed by the anti-corruption squad (ECCCC) for influence peddling, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Economic Crimes and Corruption Combating Center, the man would have extorted $700 from a woman from a nearby village to issue her two school graduation diplomas. The teacher told her he could influence the vocational school’s administration. The documents were to be issued for the woman and her cohabitee. The 48-year-old man was caught in the act as he was taking the money marked ‘mita CCCEC’ (bribe). If found guilty the man may get fined from 2,000 to 30,000 lie of stay 5 years in jail.
