The Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office said the investigation into the case of traffic of influence that involves a teacher and a secretary of a Chisinau lyceum was completed. The case was sent to court and the two will stand trial, IPN reports.
The women are accused of asking for and receiving €2,700 from two young men this June for influencing decision makers of the Baccalaureate Center to create conditions for the two to pass the rerun Baccalaureate exam in math.
The money was transmitted under the control of anticorruption prosecutors and officers of the National Anticorruption Center.
The women face up to six years in jail for traffic of influence.
