The taxes levied by notaries and by the Public Service Agency for legalizing inheritance documents  will be decreased. The statement was made by the leader of the Democratic Party Vlad Plahotniuc in a press briefing on July 17, IPN reports.

Vlad Plahotniuc said the citizens of the Republic of Moldova pay almost 2,000 lei for legalizing inheritance documents, which is an exaggerated sum . In today’s meeting of the members of the PDM, it was announced that solutions were identified for reducing this tax to 351 lei. There will also be eliminated particular documents that are now required by the authorities. The measures apply strictly to the procedures for heirs, not yet to those for selling inherited property. The given changes will be adopted in the current parliamentary session.

Vlad Plahotniuc also said that the party’s meeting involved the managers of the Public Services Agency. It was noted that the one-stop shops work, but not as they should. Complaints submitted by people show some of the functionaries have an inappropriate behaver and long lines form at the one-stop shops. The politician demanded that these shortcomings should be swiftly removed and that the administration of the Public Services Agency should work out a questionnaire to assess the quality of services. This would be completed by citizens when they leave the one-stop shop.

According to the leader of the PDM, they also discussed the fulfilment of the commitments concerning reforms assumed before the foreign partners. Vlad Plahotniuc reiterated that regardless of particular reactions from the European Parliament, the foreign commitments will be further fulfilled. The possibility of hastening the reforms under implementation was another discussed topic. There was also examined a Government report on the fulfilment of the commitments undertaken before the IMF and the EU for the three agreed tranches.

Vlad Plahotniuc noted the commitments before the International Monetary Fund were fully implemented and the IMF, for its part, fully respected its obligations. Moldova also fulfilled its commitments made to the EU and will continue the reforms for modernizing the country event if the European Union didn’t disburse the financing.

According to the politician, the conditions imposed by the EU for providing macro-financial assistance were fulfilled and not only for the first tranche. A considerable part of the reforms agreed for the second and third tranches were already implemented.
