The State Tax Service identified undeclared income among influencers, bloggers and vloggers. As a result of the inspections carried out in 2023-2024, 18 persons declared additional incomes of over 20 million lei for 2018-2023, paying taxes totaling almost 2.4 million lei, IPN reports.
According to the fiscal authorities, the inspections covered the online activities of 27 people, who were invited to provide explanations regarding their sources of income. The data from the information system of the Tax Service show that the royalties and salaries are their main source of income. In total, following the checks, the influencers declared income of over 45 million lei, of which about 6 million were paid as taxes.
The State Tax Service noted that the inspections will continue and the people who work online are urged to declare their income according to the legislation. The deadline for submitting the income tax return for 2024 is April 30, 2025.
