Tax returns can be submitted by May 3

The private individual’s tax return (Form CET18) can be filed until April 30 inclusive. As April 30, 2022 is a day off, in accordance with the Tax Code, the last day for submissions is the first workaday that follows the nonworking day, which is May 3, 2022, IPN reports, quoting the State Tax Service.

The tax return can be submitted to the local tax division by presenting the identity card or another ID, including by proxy, or through the post office by a recommended letter.

To submit the tax return electronically, the taxpayers need to access the Electronic Service on www.sfs.md through MPass and confirm or adjust the pre-completed statement, including to indicate the public organizations to which they want to direct 2% of the income tax. The statement signed through Msign is submited to mail@sfs.md.

The statement can also be signed by hand, scanned and sent to cet@sfs.md. This is considered accepted on condition the identity of the taxpayer is confirmed.

For further information, taxpayers can visit www.sfs.md, can go to the local tax division or can call the Call Center of the State Tax Service on 0 8000 1525.
