Tax for issuing driver’s license may treble in Transnistria
The tax for issuing the new-type driver’s license in the Transnistrian region may be thrice higher. A proposal to this effect was submitted by the so-called home minister of Transnistria, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the website of the news agency “Novii Reghion”, the tax is proposed to be raised from 7 to 20 minimum salaries, which is about US$20.
The Transnistrian official argued that new-type, plastic driver’s licenses started to be issued in the region in August and they are more expensive than the previous licenses.
Changing the old-type drivers’ license is not mandatory. At the same time, the new licenses are obligatorily issued to those who graduated from a driving school or who lost the license.
