Secretary of state at the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection Tatiana Zatyk said the next vaccination stage was started and the next categories for immunization were decided. Details were provided in response to recommendations formulated by For Moldova MP Ruxanda Glavan, IPN reports.
Ruxanda Glavan recommended the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection to swiftly come with an order, clarification that would enable the head of the vaccination center to independently decide to switch over from the first vaccination stage to the second or third one given that there are districts where, for various reasons, the health workers didn’t get vaccinated or vaccination is over. Otherwise, interpretations can appear in the public sphere. The MP also recommended to take additional measures to efficiently isolate the sick persons at home, as the main problem is the circulation of the virus, and to switch over to online scheduling of appointments for vaccination.
Tatiana Zatyk responded that the next vaccination stage was already initiated and work on online appointment scheduling has been done for a period. There is the electronic vaccination register available.
In a press release, the National Public Health Agency said the COVID-19 vaccination campaign was extended for the following target groups: adults older than 60 and persons with comorbidies (high risk group). Simultaneously, the vaccination of health workers, personnel and beneficiaries of shelters and temporary and permanent placement centers continues. Over 38,000 persons have been vaccinated against vaccinate COVID-19 in Moldova so far.
