Swimmer Tatiana Chișca took the 12th position at the European Swimming Championships in Glasgow. In the semifinals, the athlete trained by Sergiu Postica set a new record for Moldova in 50 meters breaststroke: 30.57 seconds, IPN reports.
Tatiana Chișca competed in the Olympic Games in 2012 and 2016. The 24-year-old athlete will also struggle to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics. Only Tatiana Salcuțan from Tiraspol has for now qualified for next year’s Olympic Games among the Moldovan swimmers.
The competition in Glasgow also involves Tatiana Salcuțan, Nikita Bortnicov, Constantin Malachi and Dan Siminel.
