Task groups start to realize Voronin-Smirnov deal this week

5 sector working groups start working this week to accomplish the deal concluded by Moldovan President Vladimir Voronin and Transnistria’s leader Igor Smirnov on April 11. They cover such areas as economy and trade, developing infrastructure, social sphere and healthcare, humanitarian aid, environment and agriculture, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a press release of the Reintegration Ministry. This conclusion was reached by the participants in the seminar dedicated to confidence-building and security-enhancing measures in the field of economy and ecology, organized by the OSCE mission to Moldova, on April 14 and 15, in the Ukrainian city of Odessa. There they also geld talks in the „5+2” format, among the OSCE, the European Union, the Russian Federation, the USA, Ukraine, Moldova and Transnistria. The matters tackled referred to the practical ways of accomplishing the agreement of 11 April, 2008, in the city of Bender, concerning the confidence-building measures between Chisinau and Tiraspol. International partners, involved in the process of settling the Transnistrian conflict, supported the initiatives and showed availability to practically contribute to solving the planned actions.
