The surgery and resuscitation blocks of the Taraclia District Hospital will be outfitted with modern medical equipment by November 1. The hospital’s building is being renovated. The thermal insulation works were completed and the windows were replaced. There were repaired the façade and the roof of the building, while the heating system was reequipped, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué from the Government, Iurie Leanca paid a working visit to the Taraclia District Hospital, where he discussed the existing problems with the institutions’ employees. One of the problems is the absence of medical staff. The hospital’s director Valerii Jelev asked the Government to intervene.
Iurie Leanca promised that by this yearend the hospital will receive a piece of roentgen apparatus so that the people benefit from services of a high quality. In the context of the modernization of the medical infrastructure in the area, a number of ambulances will be purchased by 2014 to serve the settlements located far from the district center.
