Tanks with drinking water were placed in the public parks of the capital city. According to the water supplier SA “Apă-Canal Chisinau”, the measure was taken to alleviate the consequences of the dog days, IPN reports.
In a press release, the company says the quality of water in tanks will be tested daily by specialists. Steps will be taken to ensure the proper functioning of springs in Chisinau. The costs associated with the supply of water are covered by SA “Apă-Canal Chisinau”.
The decision forms part of the complex measures aimed at minimizing the impact of high temperatures on the health of the citizens of Chisinau municipality. In the period, the municipal subdivisions, in concert with the Chisinau Public Health Center and the municipal food safety division, will ensure the monitoring of the quality of perishable products, including the food storage conditions in markets.
Primary assistance points will be set up inside public and private health facilities in Chisinau.
