A tank truck that was transporting gasoline skidded off the road and ran into an obstacle near Coscodeni village of Sangerei district in the morning of July 28. The cab and the tank caught fire, IPN reports.
The General Inspectorate for Emergencies said the call to 112 was made close to 7am. Six firefighting teams travelled to the scene. These localized the fire in about an hour. There were about 30 tonnes of gasoline in the tank according to the first reports.
No one was hurt. An investigation is under way to establish all the circumstances of this case.
