Over 1,000 people have been displaced in Stefan-Voda district only, as other several hundreds are readying to leave their homes. At the same time, rescuers work hard to strengthen protection dams. Meanwhile, some 2 ha of grain fields have burnt in Cheltuitorul village of Chisinau municipality. Other 48 ha have been rescued by fierfighters. 1.5 ha out of 2 ha of farming land of a household in Donduseni district have burnt, as the fire was lit by a burning cigarette. On a field near Vulcanesti town, a combine caught fire when harvesting because of overheating. The fire destroyed the engine, the driver's place and three tires. A car has partially burnt in the village of Heleuti, Falesti, as it caught fire because of overheating. Because of reasons unknown so far, the household of a dweller from Bratuseni, Edinet, caught fire. The flames destroyed his garage, Volkswagen Passat and half of the summer kitchen. 2,182 fires have been recorded in Moldova this year, destroying 90 vehicles, 84 ha of grain and 22 ha of stubble.
