Talks on allocation of 100m euros for Moldova start in two weeks
The Radauti-Lipcani bridge will be put in operation within ten days, while the negotiations on the financing by Romania of infrastructure-related projects in Moldova will open in two weeks in Bucharest. Over the next four years, Romania will allocate 100 million euros for the purpose, by 25 million euros a year. The agreements were reached by Moldovan Premier Vlad Filat and the President of Romania Traian Basescu during a phone conversation on February 1 in the evening, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communique from the Government.
The two officials also discussed the implementation of the agreements reached earlier.
Vlad Filat and Traian Basescu reiterated the necessity of interconnecting the natural gas and electric power systems of the two countries in the near future.
In the same evening, PM Vlad Filat also had a phone conversation with his Romanian counterpart Emil Boc. They discussed such issues as the present stage of the bilateral relations and the Romanian assistance intended for Moldova.
