In the final match of the mini-qualifying tournament, held in Montenegro, the host country’s team succumbed to Kazakhstan with a score of 1-4. Thus, the representatives of Kazakhstan climbed to the top of the group and secured their qualification into League A, accumulating 4 points in two matches.

Moldova’s national team ranked second, with 2 points, and hoped to qualify as the best team from the second position among the six of League B. However, the “tricolors” had a lower balance than the other teams and will continue to play in League B in the 2026-2027 season.

In the two matches played, the “eagles” drew with Montenegro, score 1-1, and with Kazakhstan, score 2-2.

The Moldovan team opened the scoring in the 11th minute, through Polina Mazur, who scored her second goal in this preliminary campaign. However, our team was equalized in the 14th minute by Zhaniya Makhash, from a penalty.

Until the break, the Kazakhstan team scored once more, through Botagoz Jumazhanova, in the 40th minute. The “Eagles” sought the equalizing goal throughout the second half and managed to score in the 85th minute, through Olga Luca, who set the final score.

In the first match of group B4, the Moldovan national team drew with the Montenegrin selection, score 1-1.

Tuesday, April 7, in the final match of the mini-qualifying tournament, Kazakhstan and Montenegro will meet. The winner of the group and the best team ranked second out of the six groups of League B will be promoted to League A, 2026-2027 edition.

At present, Moldova holds the first place in the group, with two points, followed by the other two teams, each with one point.
