The Embassy of the Czech Republic, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, on October 24 stages a symphonic concert in Chisinau on the occasion of the National Day of the Czech Republic, IPN reports.
According to a press release of the embassy, this year it is 96 years of the constitution of the Czechoslovak Republic. The concert includes works by the Czech composers Bedřich Smetana and Antonín Leopold Dvořák and by Moldovan composer Ghenadie Ciobanu, which will be performed by the Symphonic Orchestra of the National Philharmonic.
The orchestra will be directed by first conductor and Master of Arts Mihail Agafita. Violinist Roman Fedchuk is the soloist. The Czech Republic annually organizes symphonic concerts on the occasion of the National Day.
The concert will take place at the National Philharmonic “Sergey Lunkevich”, starting at 6pm. Entrance is free of charge.
