A new “Sweeter” Festival will be held on May 24, when those who like candies will be able to enjoy themselves during eight hours and to collect traditional recipes for deserts. The third event of the kind will take place in the center of Chisinau, at the intersection of the streets Veronica Micle and Vlaicu Parcalab, IPN reports.
The organizer of the festival – the team K Lumea – promises delicious deserts, gastronomic workshops, games, creation workshops for children, hair braiding, tobogganing, photographic projects and others.
Within the event, the best candy cooks will make biscuits, tarts and pies and will compete for the Trophy “Cherry on the Cake” in the contests “Most delicious traditional desert” and “Most delicious international desert”. At the Gastronomic Theater, those attending will be able to learn by a recipe for a desert and the secret of making it from five cooks.
In the charity Fair of Obedient Children, which will be held within the festival, the children will be able to sell the books, clothes and toys with which they got bored.
“We decided to share the profit of the festival with the project “Arterapia”, launched by K Lumea, within which we aim to collect funds for decorating Chisinau-based children’s hospitals. We think that by everyone’s contribution and effort, we can make the stay of kids in hospitals slightly more pleasant, if they will find themselves in a magical atmosphere created with the help of a group of painters and graphic designers,” said the organizer of the event Nata Albot.
The Sweet Traditions Festival “Sweeter” is aimed at promoting and keeping home patisserie traditions and local brands of kids clothes, at supporting young craftspeople and at teaching the children to communicate, negotiate and interact with mates and grownups.
A ticket to the festival costs 40 lei. For children younger than seven, entrance is free.
