The Head of Parliament of Sweden Per Westerberg will pay a working visit to Moldova on September 2. According to a communiqué from the legislative body, the Swedish official will have meetings with MPs and state officials, including President Nicolae Timofti and Prime Minister Iurie Leanca, IPN reports.

The meeting with the Moldovan lawmakers will take place within a program of assistance provided by the Swedish Parliament to the Parliament of Moldova in strengthening parliamentary democracy.

The Swedish delegation consists of ex-President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Gőran Lennmarker, Secretary General of the Riksdag Kathrin Flossing, and Swedish Ambassador to Moldova Ingrid Tersman.

Moldovan and Swedish Speakers Igor Corman and Per Westerberg will hold a joint press briefing.

The last visit by Per Westerberg to Moldova took place on January 30-31, 2012.
