Swedish parliamentarians travel to Chisinau for experience exchange

A group of parliamentarians from the Kingdom of Sweden have come to Chisinau to share their experience in the field of parliamentarian monitoring of the Government and European integration. The visit takes place on October 29 and 30, Info-Prim Neo reports. The visit of the Swedish delegation is part of the Program for Parliamentary Cooperation between Sweden and Moldova, which implies the organization of a series of trainings during this year. Deputy Speaker of the Chisinau Parliament Liliana Palihovici, head of the parliamentary group for friendship with the Kingdom of Sweden, declared on Monday, October 29, at the opening of the meeting between the two parliamentary groups that the first training took place in the spring of 2012. “I hope the discussions will prove fruitful for both Parliaments and we'll learn the Swedish experience in the field of European integration”, said Liliana Palihovici. At the meeting, Moldova will be represented by several MPs, parliamentary counselors and representatives of ministries. The first day of talks was dedicated to the parliamentary control over the Government, the challenges implied by such control and the lessons that must be learned. On the second day, October 30, the two groups will talk about European integration and the Swedes' experience in this process.
