Sweden is willing to continue the cooperation relations with the Republic of Moldova, Swedish Ambassador in Chisinau Signe Burgastaller said in a meeting with Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Eduard Grama. The two officials discussed the current situation in Moldova’s agriculture and food and the Ministry’s priorities for 2016, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the Ministry.

Eduard Grama underlined the contribution made by Sweden to developing agriculture and expressed his conviction that the cooperation relations will be continued by implementing the launched projects and new initiatives.

Among the priorities, the minister mentioned the payment of agricultural subsidies on time, promotion of the Subsidization Law, amendment of the Land Code, the science and education reform and assessment of the subordinate institutions.

Eduard Grama also spoke about the intention to introduce a new subsidization measure for ecological products.
