The coach of the national football team of Moldova Alexandru Curteian made public the list of the 21 players who will prepare for the November 15 match against Liechtenstein, of the UEFA Euro 2016. After a pause of 10 months, Alexandru Suvorov was called to the national team. This year he played no game for Mordovia Saransk, IPN reports.
“When the national team was trained by Ion Cara, only footballers playing for club teams were included in the lineup. Therefore, I haven’t played for the national squad for almost a year. The new coach Alexandru Curteian lays emphasis on discipline. Moldova showed that it can achieve good results when playing against Russia,” Alexandru Suvorov, who was named the best Moldova footballer in 2011, told the reporters.
Suvorov played the last match for the national team on January 14, which was against Poland. So far he has played 47 games and scored seven goals. In winter, the 27-year-old player will leave Mordovia.
For the match against Liechtenstein, Curteian also summoned such known players as Maxim Focsa, Victor Gheorghiu, and Dan Spataru. The game will take place at the Zimbru stadium on November 15, starting at 7pm.
