A passerby called the police and informed about a suspicious bag that was near an apartment building located on Doga St in Chisinau. The police and a bomb squad were on the spot immediately, IPN reports.

Head of the press service of the Chisinau Police Division Adrian Jovmir said no explosives were found as a result of searches. It turned out that the bag, which contained underwear, fell down from the balcony of an apartment. The owner was identified shortly afterward.

Last week, the police discovered Molotov cocktails, handmade bombs, firearms, detonators, iron bars and masks inside two deserted buildings in Chisinau.
