The extended lineup for the last two matches of the EURO 2016 qualifying rounds contains surprises. The new coach Stefan Stoica summoned, alongside Nicolae Milinceanu, two players from Petrocub-Hancesti and one player from Saxan, who haven’t played for the national football team so far, IPN reports.
“It is an honor for me to form part of the lineup. I have dreamt of playing for the national team of Moldova since childhood,” striker Roman Shumkin, who scored four goals for Petrocub-Hancesti this season, has told IPN.
Another surprise is the halfback from Academia Eugeniu Cheleadnik.
The Romanian coach will make his debut at the national team of Moldova on October 9, when Moldova plays Russia in Chisinau. There are now serious personnel-related problems in the national squad as Ionita, Epureanu and Racu sustained injuries and cannot play, while Gatcan and Golovatenko were suspended.
