The book, offered traditionally to the visitors of the International Children’s Book Fair, currently taking place in Chisinau, is for this edition "O furnica in biblioteca" (“An Ant in the Library”), by Vasile Romanciuc, issued by “Prut International” publishing house, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to Claudia Balaban, director of the “Ion Creanga” Children Library, the tradition was initiated at the 1998 edition. The author, who was awarded the “Book of the Year” prize, launches a special edition, named “the surprise-book”. Thus, the last year, the prize was awarded to the poet Vasile Romanciuc, for the volume “Copilul cu aripi de carte”. On the second day of the Fair, several books have been presented to the young readers including “Ce inseamna a fi om bun” (“What means to be a good man” by Titus Stirbu, “O istorie a literaturii pentru copii si adolescenti" (“A History of the Literature for Children and Teenagers”) by Iuliu Ratiu, “Moara cu placinte" (“The Pie Mill” by Iulian Filip, "Salvati capra lui Creanga!” (“Save Creanga’s Goat!”) by Gheorghe Calamanciuc, "De la facerea lumii citire" by Claudia Partole, "In rand cu lumea" (“Just Like Others”) by Aurel Gutu, "O viata dedicata sportului" (“A Life Dedicated to Sports”) by Grigore Popovici, "Desene si poezii despre profesii" (“Drawings and Poems about Professions”) by Ion Diordiev. The presented books included the series “Tata, mama, lumea-ntreaga la portita mea cea draga!" (“Mother, Father and the Whole World at My Door” ), "Animale dragalase, istete şi poznase" (“Cute, Little and Funny Animals”), "Ghici cine-i?” (“Guess Who?”), “Buna ziua lume, vreau sa-ti spun pe nume” (“Hello World, I Want to Discover You”), “Fauna pamantului” (The World’s Fauna”) by Silvia Ursache and others. Also on Thursday, another literary event dedicated to the writer Spiridon Vangheli “The king of the pure dream” took place. It included the presentation of his anthology volumes “Carte de citire si gandire” (“Book for Reading and Thinking”) for 1st to 4th grades. International Children Book Fair, hosted by “Licurici” Puppet Theatre will last till April 21.
