Supreme Court rejects Communist claim to replace appellate judges
The Supreme Court of Justice rejected as unfounded the request of the Communist Party to replace the entire panel of the Chisinau Court of Appeals, which examines the validity of the June 19 mayoral elections in Chisinau, Info-Prim Neo reports.
After challenging in the Chisinau Court of Appeals a district court decision that validated the mayoral elections, the Communists requested the Supreme Court to replace the entire appellate panel with judges from outside of Chisinau, claiming that there weren't any judges in the Chisinau Court that could be trusted.
