Supreme Court of Justice publishes writs on web
The Supreme Court of Justice (SCJ) launches a new web page on December 23: www.csj.md. It offers the public a database of SCJ decisions, the schedule of all the sittings of the court and infos about the court's structure and activities, Info-Prim Neo has learnt from a communique by the SCJ.
Some 4,500 writs have already been published on the new page. The site has been developed with the support of the Millennium Challenge Corporation and is part of the Threshold Country Program of Moldova.
Launching the new web site is part of the Moldovan authorities' strategy pursuing to enhance the transparency of the judiciary. The Parliament has modified the law on the system by obliging the courts to publish their decisions on the Internet.
All the Moldovan courts shall publish their writs on their web pages as from June 1, 2009. All the courts are to launch their new web sites till that deadline, through the Good Governance Program.
The Threshold Country Program of Moldova is financed by the Millennium Challenge Corporation and run by USAID, pursuing to strengthen the capacity of preventing and fighting corruption in Moldova.
