Supreme Council of Magistrates allows investigating four judges

The Supreme Council of Magistrates on April 15 allowed investigating four judges who worked earlier at the Economic Court of Appeals. The Council took such a decision after Prosecutor General Corneliu Gurin made a relevant request, IPN reports.

It was established that the judges consciously passed illegal decisions and judgments. According to the prosecutors, the given judges in 2009 ignored the serious irregularities committed by the first court and pronounced an illegal decision by which they rejected the appeals of the plaintiffs.

Now that the Council gave its consent, the prosecutor general will take legal action against the judges and will order investigating the case. The names of the judges weren’t made public.
