The Government will submit the Addendum No.2 to the financing agreement between the Moldovan executive and the EU for the program to support current and future agreements between the EU and Moldova, which was elaborated on June 2, 2016, to Parliament, IPN reports.
Under the Addendum, the period of validity of the given agreement will be extended until March 12, 2019 with a view to matching the mandate of the high-level mission of advisers, 2016-2018.
It is envisioned that the Council of Europe will allocate directly €2.5 million from the total budget of the agreement for implementing two projects in the fields of anticorruption and money laundering and of press freedom and pluralism of opinions.
The financing agreement will be valid for 87 months, 63 of which is intended for operational activities.
