Supervisory Board proposes new concept for news program of Public TV
The Supervisory Board (SB) of Teleradio-Moldova public company proposes approving a new concept for the news program “Mesager”. The document will be worked out jointly with the administration of the broadcaster, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“The style of Mesager in terms of editorial policy and way of presenting news, the colors and scenery of the program must be changed,” Viorel Cibotaru, a member of the Board (Observers Council (OC)), stated.
Cibotaru says that the company’s journalists are not challenged, and the work they perform doesn’t suppose competition. “It is necessary to have certain forms of competition, to institute assessments that would challenge competition among journalists,” he added.
The OC members will analyze the news bulletins monthly. The best reporters, presenters, authors of the most successful edition will be awarded.
They voted for awarding the company’s president, Valentin Todercan, a special prize as big as a salary. “Todercan is the person who makes his best to improve the journalistic work of this company,” said Mariana Slapac, the OC chairwoman and deputy president of the Academy of Science.
