Sunstrokes hits six on Sunday
Six persons, including three children, were hospitalised on Sunday as they were hit by sunstroke. The doctors from the Emergency Service were asked to provide medical care to 86 persons on the streets due to excessive exposure to heat.
According to Service’s coordinating doctor Anatol Proca, the number of sunstroke cases registered during the last 24 hours cut the record of the summer.
In order to avoid the sunstroke cases, the doctors recommend avoiding exposure to sun between 11-18.00 o’clock, especially for children, aged persons, and those suffering from hurt diseases. It is necessary to wear special hats, light clothes. Also, the doctors recommend the warm showers and the consumption of a glass of water each 15-20 minutes.
During the last 24 hours, the Emergency Service registered 789 calls.
