The Sunday of the Dead that was transferred from April 26-27 to June 6-8 will not be postponed, the National Extraordinary Commission for Public Health decided on May 29. But the people are urged not to go to cemeteries in large groups and to obey all the protective measures imposed in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic, IPN reports.
Prime Minister Ion Chicu said the evolution of the pandemic will depend a lot on the way in which the people behave these days and how they obey the rules and the authorities bank on the support of the Church in this regard.
In the same meeting, the Commission decided that the religious assemblies and ceremonies will be allowed as of June 5, but by obeying the requirements concerning the organization of services or other traditional religious events.
Starting with June 8, the shopping centers all over Moldova will resume work, except for the public eating places and recreational places housed by the shopping centers.
As from June 1, the athletes authorized by the Football, Badminton, Kayak-Canoe, Weightlifting, Swimming and Tennis Federations of Moldova can resume training in the open air, exclusively at sports centers and grounds and at swimming pools accredited by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, by respecting the epidemiological measures. The list of authorized places will be approved by an order of the Ministry.
The Public Services Agency will fully restart work on June 1, but will make sure that the measures to prevent the spread of infection are obeyed.
