Summer vacation officially starts for Transnistria's children
The authorities of Tiraspol city in the breakaway Transnistria region have allocated 400,000 Transnistrian rubles (some 444,000 lei) to arrange leisure activities for children, Info-Prim Neo's special correspondent reports.
With these funds there were opened nine daytime camps at schools in the city for children under 10. In addition, there were opened four clubs for teenagers from underprivileged families, for orphans and children left without parental care.
Approximately 1,000 children will spend this summer vacation in camps.
A three-week vacation in a daytime camp, three meals included, will cost the parents 112 rubles (about 124.5 lei). For orphans and children from poor families, the authorities earmarked 150 free tickets.
Four overnight camps are located in forested areas on the right bank of the Nistru. The price of a ticket for an 18-day vacation here is lower than 190 rubles (211 lei).
